Math help

Yo crossfire,

Since i forgot the e-mail i used for my other account (http://www.crossfire.nu/user/23772/strangotje), i'm using this one now. (Old friends can add me :D)

The real reason for this journal is:

I'm looking for a person who can help me with mathematics, just the basic college level.. (goniometry, derivatives, limits, integrals unknown/known)

I know this is pretty basic, i already had this like 3 years ago at high school... Back then it was np, but it seems i forgot how it works.

Would be nice if you could speak dutch (easy to explain)... But can do in english as well.

pm kamz, I hear he's a true wiz and might even explain how Wiles' proof for Fermat's last theorem works. I bet kamz would've done it better than Wiles but kamz, all out of luck there, was a toddler when the theorem was finally proven.

although one might ponder your analysis, i must be humble in saying that i choose not to indulge into pure mathematics, as my strengths rely heavily in the statistical sector of the subject.. many have argued that this area of expertise is not "true" mathematics and some mathematicians may agree, i however do not have an opinion on the matter as long as i get my $$$

Well statistics is the way to go unless your exceptionally talented and have the potential ability prove theorems that have dazzled mathematicians for centuries, a great example would be A. Wiles for example. I myself left maths for engineering after one year of studying it, I know I haven't got what it takes and ending up a failed mathematician doesn't probably pay as well as you'd think.

I could've switched to statistics, but I've always found them plain boring.

edit: Well I'm not saying you have to be Wiles to make use of yourself in maths. For example one of my former classmates just finished his Masters degree (Bachelor + Masters) in two years, when it usually takes five or more.

Yeah it can be boring but some parts aren't as boring as others. Regression Modelling for example, is a topic I enjoy a lot. Getting to experiment with multivariate data and making conclusions based on regression methods, etc.

To be honest, I'd rather not settle with 'not as boring as others' when I can study something I'm really interested in. But hey, who am I to judge, I bet you'd find structural engineering as boring as I find statistical analysis.
