Well they are a business, that's why one would go into business, to make profit. If it didn't, it would be a charity.

And caching your search info is a bit different to walking into someone's home and watching them eat, and dress. That's creepy.

Also google outlined the essential working parts of the products we call search engines, so without them, your hush search wouldn't be here.
