Laptop advice

So im thinking about buying a new laptop as my old one is without a screen and has simply gotten old/outdated.

Im thinking about a system with these in them, what i need advice on is what model/brand to get it from as I dont have a preference for a brand and some people may have good arguments why to buy a specific one :)

CPU: Intel® Core™ i7-2760QM 6Mb Cache, 2.40 GHZ (3.5GHZ Turbo mode / Quad Core - 8 threads)
GFX: nVIDIA GTX6** (or similar card from ati)
MEM: 8GB DDR3 1600mhz Corsair

It doesn't have to necessarily look pretty but its a plus if it does :D

some HP prolly
Well as far as speed goes the bottleneck is the hard drive, i wouldn't buy a machine without an SSD most i7 / i5 are more than enough on speed and for example mobile 650-660 nvidia chip will run any game on the market. Asus has some nice high end laptops that have SSD:s preinstalled with really good hardware, and also Acer has some nice machines but the chassis build quality is not as good as Asus.
i have 2 SSD's lieing around so thats not the problem :P

I'm getting myself Lenovo y580 with i5, 8gb ram and gtx660. I've heard nothing but good words about y580 and that was the main reason to go with it. From my own experience with HP and people's opinions about their laptops I would advise against buying their products. An acquaintance of mine who runs his PC store recently told me he gave up on selling HP hardware because he was fed up with taking everything back for repair. From what I've heard HP laptops overheat easily.

Lenovo is a respected brand, can't recommend it now as I don't have my y580 yet. I used to have an MSI laptop in the past and it served me well- I have nothing but good experience with MSI hardware so I doubt you would be let down if you decide to buy an MSI lap. Asus is also a mark I trust as I've never had any problems with their products and I've had quite a few.
