its possible with just a normal soundcard but its best to get a proper soundcard so u can use the rear speakers as well 100%

Hey Crossfire,
So, I've recently bought a new speaker system (Bose system).
I've got a Sony Vaio laptop at home that's connected to it. The speakers are Dolby 5.1, but do I actually need an adapter or something else to really get that 5.1 quality out of the speakers through the laptop? Or is a soundcard (with the 2 bus holes in it) decent enough to get all of the quality out of my speakers?
Thanks!

But an adapter or smthn is no issue?
dunno really what it is supposed to be, I just got a new soundcard for 20 euros or so
And what is a decent soundcard in your opinion? :)
