internet connection problems

hi

recently my pc connection has started going lower and lower for apparently no reason. even in et my game freezes for few seconds and can't move when getting into the middle of the fight or going to do some revives. last night, i couldnt connect to internet anymore (i am ussing PPPoE)

it was giving me error 651: the modem (or other blablabla) has encountered an error.

i googled this , and some ppl say i should change raspppoe.sys with a working raspppoe from a vista windows and then do smth like raspppoe_orig.sys...
other say i have to go to programs and features.check internet information hostable web core....
other say to remove MS Virtual PC 2007 lol


have you ever experienced something similar ? :S
what do you say ?
how do you think this can be solved ?
