stupid question about aoe2

hey crossfire,
fuchs and me decided to play aoe2 we both downloaded aoe2 and hamachi but we dont know how it works to play LAN.
we tried many things but without any results.

u have to be in one network in hamachi (ofc)

then one of u opens the game (in aoe) then the other needs to join over TCP/IP thingy. he will find the game there with the name "Specula's Game" (or whatever)

einer von euch muss ein netzwerkspiel in aoe aufmachen. der andere muss dann joinen über diese tcp/ip sache

u need to download GameRanger, regiester, download the same version of aeo ( 1.0 or 1.0c the most popular veriosns ) , find your selfs on GAmeRanger and play ;) Im playing at aoe too so pm me if u wanna play ;)

Gameranger is much easier, as it has game rooms you can just join or host and stuff.

There's also a widescreen patch somewhere you could look for if you decide to dl gameranger.

You don't even need Hamachi..

I preffer Garena, hamachi installs 213123 network adapters
