for sure, and vice versa. but it hasn't happened yet and prolly won't anytime soon, site is like half as active as it was in July but 2 months is nowhere near enough time for it to die. if the devs did some pleasing changes I can be sure the activity would rise again. according to tosspot the amount of unique visitors is the same, only the amount of content created and prolonged visits have dropped.
Yeah I can understand that the amount of visitors is the same, probably ppl like me just got so used to browsing cf that they always check it even if there is barely anything interesting to read here now.

aight so for that sentence, waki is a good example (no offence): used to play a lot, and by a lot, I mean a fucking lot, never reached an amazing level and I guess after years of trying began to start calling et dead and stopped playing. every now and then return to the game, still not able to compete vs current players -> quit again & call et dead. it's a cycle that everyone (including you) has seen from a shitload of guys until they finally quit and leave for good.
doesn't apply only to people who were "bad", waki aint bad or something but his et skill cant compete with his ego so there isn't really much to do right? :P when directing it at you, I saw you "come back" and play a bit for like 2-3 days or something a couple weeks ago, some of your old swat guys and then after a few days you stopped and I can be sure it's nothing to do with et being dead since I manage to play just fine :)

its not the same to play with your friends you know for long in et, than playing with random mercs , even if they arent idiots. Ofc, you can have fun and play some games etc, but its not rlly the same. And ofc there are still ppl searching irc games, but is kinda the same 80 ppl playing and searching all day? ...et is seriously dead. I would say et started dieing this month, you can see that on irc amount of ppl searching, gamest having 0 games every day and then some ppl put their offis in there to "keep it alive" ...but is isnt rlly interesting to see 98% of these.., and cf is dead...and not rlly interesting to read anymore. Even more ppl realize this every day and quit (et+cf) , as for example the random guy posting this thread, and many others quiting everyday, and their friends will eventually quit too as they dont wanna play with randoms, as it is my case, since almost none of the ppl i used to play in the past are still around so ..i will quit end of this month just cuz i wanna have some last games with my friends and call it a day., and etc. Syriusz got a point there, you just dont wanna see it.
I was talking mostly about the polish scene. I dont think there is a single higher than med skilled player that I didnt play with and trust me its hard to find someone "normal". And I dont think thats just my assumption since nvm clan cant find their 6th player for like 2 months now ? :D
true but nvm are a pretty bad example, they want some of the "better" PL players (compared to 1-2 years ago when they were satisfied with noobs). they took Wrobel for a while but when that didn't work out, of course there are players around (like 50% of the people at CGS don't have a team right now?) personally if I was having such troubles I'd just find someone from the LAN who is clanless right now, tons of em, I doubt nvm contacted many people.
I didn't say they're WILLING to play, I said that nvm clearly haven't sent out PMs to all of the players they could. :D and you don't need me to list names, http://www.gamestv.org/league/1054/ this is all you need, cup was less than 2 months ago and at least half of the players who played there currently have no team (and of the skilled ones, I can be sure nvm didn't msg many).
I would have agreed and have had the same POV for countless years, however this time is different. This year (apart from BFB2) ET has been very stale and there has been a lack of competition(s) both online and offline. Look at the Recent Adroits Lan that took place in June, no disrespect to Sean but we won around 900 euros for a tournament which Anexis were willing to spend 1500+ to ensure we attended. I must have personally spent around 400-500 euros that weekend on food and mostly drink to win 150. I would have been content with this a year or so ago - fighting with the likes of Dignitas/Polagz/TLR/H2k/FiF etc but now that i have won a Lan (2) the same feeling is not there especially when you are expected to win and there is a lack of competition/challenge.
Now, with AEM around the corner and the take off of many games such as LoL Dota2 and the saviour of FPS CSGO, even Anexis dont have the budget to send us to a tournament with only 6 teams signed up. Our budget to send us this event is coming in at over 2000 and its likely that the tournament wont reach 16 teams, meaning the prize purse is going to be the same or less than last time. Its a real shame because Sean hosts an amazing tournament and you could really see the improvement that Wzzrd had made for the recent Adroits Lan in June, but with the prices and Anexis not williling to invest such a vast amount of money in sending us - we wont be going. Thats one of the "definite" teams from the list not attending and without being big headed - the loss of Anexis Players on the scene will be detrimental and I cant see the game improving much from the position that it is in.
CF4 has been a real let down, many admins have left and there are small signs of improvement apart from broken promises. The site is not finished and in truth it is driving users away. We (Anexis) are yet to receive our prizes from BFB 2, although i know TosspoT will deliver - his priorities lie elsewhere at this present time and the best thing for him and CF4 would probably be the coverage/attraction of a new game to this site bringing a new community.
All in all the state of the game/community at this present time is dire, you can continue writing that nonsense (it amazes me how "up to date" you are with the game or scene, when you are hardly ever online) but I have gradually stopped playing - not because i dont enjoy the game anymore, but because there is hardly a game/community to play.
I would have no idea what to do with my free time when I stop playing ET :o] I mean, shooting on some people every wednesdayevening and sundayevening is still possible and fun.
