So, I already tried two configs.
Something is seriously fucked up in my ET.
SPECS:
Intel i7 3612QM 2.1GHz
16GB DDR3 1600MHz
AMD Mobility Radeon HD7730 2GB
15.6'' WUXGA 1920x1080 FULL HD LED Anti-Glare
1000GB 5400RPM
So what do I have to fucking do, to get rid of this lag. I got 108 fps with one config, 125 with another.
The config that gives me 125 fps, it still lags, seems like the screen lags a lot. I got no other explanation. Maybe some refreshrates are fucked up or something? Anyway, it's ridiculous that I can't properly run ET on it. If you got any advice or a config that might work, please let me know. Can't enjoy the gaming experience at all like this atm.
On a sidenote, my sounds are also fucked up, but that might have sth to do with my headset.

r_displayrefresh "0"
or configuration of gfx, or windows7 maybe, alot of things can be adjusted to improve performance
Have you tried this 'tutorial'? For Nvidia cards it's mostly threaded optimization that is making ET lag. If there's a similar option for AMD cards, I'd also suggest turning it off.
Some i5/i7 cpus got serious overheating problems or just randomly change the Mhz. Make sure you got your laptop running on the Performance settings, so the cpu does not throttle down to some lower speeds.
If it's overheating that's causing the fps lag, you might want to put your CPU max clock to 99% instead of 100%. This will stop the cpu from going into Turboboost mode and should fix temperature related slowdowns.
I've had similar problems in the beginning with my laptop (i5/540gt) but got rid of them with those two settings.
However I still experience super random white flashes every few minutes. It's not really annoying but still a strange habit. The whole screen is either going white or shows an overview of the map or something like that for half a second. Weird stuff :)
