not to sound rude, but you were planting landmines when they were taking off with the truck on goldrush, i don't see how that profited your situation

as an engi i thought planting mines is definitely best in that exact situation and still do
i cant even come up with an argument why planting mines is bad there, but u clearly think so, so feel free to explain :P

wouldn't it make sense to stop the truck and then try and stop allies from getting to the truck, rather than have the truck drive away while you're planting mines that then play no role anymore?

a) the mines could definitely play a role with over 2mins on the clock
b) theres teammates around the truck that are ready to shoot, i plant a mine hear a guy switch to smg and hes taken down by two guys shooting, driving the truck like 1sec
c) its really hard to hold that truck by just shooting with that amount of time left (atleast vs. any decent opponent), good arty, mines etc are huge help if u wanna get it done

if there was a good chance i got fragged by planting a mine there, then it would have been bad imo, but there really wasnt
i shortly spawn medic after and we are in a slightly better spot because we have a few mines planted
poor play would be not to utilize that engi there with full bar
also one big thing is that we had many guys alive there, if it was only me or two guys then it might be better to just focus on shooting
