Book recommendations

Hello cf,

after I've read through "A Song of Ice and Fire" I'm in need of some new cool books. Eventhough being "fantasy" i really loved "ASoIaF" - normally i read thrillers (Dan Brown, Frank Schätzing, Millenium Trilogy e.g.) or sci-fi.

So cf, are there any really really good fantasy books worth reading or do you have any recommendations for scifi, thriller books?

read Joe Abercrombie, David Gemmel, Brent Weeks, Raymond E. Feist, J V Jones -- good fantasy, I particularly like Joe Abercrombie recently - nice violent gritty stuff with characters who have character
Think you might like Metro 2033 and its sequel Metro 2034 written by Dmitry Glukhovsky. Post-apocalyptic science fiction.
Also H.P Lovecraft's At the mountains on madness, one of my all time favorites. Scifi horror.

Oscar Wilde - happy prince and other tales
Oscar Wilde - The Picture of Dorian Gray

George Orwell - 1984
Harper Lee - To kill a mocking bird
J.D. Salinger - The Catcher In The Rye
