it's impossible for people who fell in love with rtcw to accept ET as a good game, the same as CSS for 1.6 players and QL for Q3 diehards and so on and so on.
so even though djwheat probably had like next to no listeners who would understand his reasoning behind rtcw being better than ET he came from the era where this was said all the time everyday. :P
djwheat's comment was perhaps a bit harsh but from a commentators point of view it could also be seen as quite accurate, ET is quite boring in comparison to view - playing is and always will be subjective opinion.
a viewers pov it's just as subjective as playing. :d and most people who have never seen either of ET/RTCW before would probably be unable to tell the difference between the two.
travelling back to 2008 and years prior, ettv was really interesting but when the caster who made top matches interesting stopped regularly casting online matches the interest went down heavily. there's probably been around 10(?) casted matches in 2012, can only think of those by owzo during NC and TosspoT during BFB2. and that's the single reason why people say ETTV is boring. :P
