Cooking with Thomm
And on todays menu we have meatpie vol. Thomm.
Ingredients that you need
400gr minced meat, pork/beef (chicken would work too) 2-3€
2 x 140gr bacon 1-2€
2 x 500 pack of Puff pastry (or make it yourself, easier this way though) 3€
1 big onion 0,10€
4 eggs 0,50€
1,5 dl of rice, the one you make porridge, flattened ones, you know 0,10€
1-2 dl cream 0,50€
Jalopenoes & spices, add what you like 1€
Cost total 7-9€
Step 1, boil the eggs
Pro-tip, use your wooden spatula on top to prevent the water for boiling over
Step 2, slice bacon & cooked eggs
Chopeti chop chop, better have a good knife, life is shit without one
Step 3, the rice
Boil the rice-flakes, 3dl water, 1,5dl riceflakes. Watch out, it burns & stucks quickly, stirr it bitch!
Step 4, prepare the pastry
Take it out of the freezer at least 2 hours earlier. Spread it around and roll it thinner & bigger. If you are a man, use beer-bottle, nobody but mothers have the real thing. Get the etiquette off and wash the bottle properly!
Step 5, cooking the meat
Smack bacon & other meats to the pan, fry them. Simple as pie. Before adding spices, pour the extra fat out, it ruins the taste otherwise. And gets you fat. Though fat is manly. Let's avoid that now. Have a beer instead!
When cooking them, add spices. I myself went for jalopeno-slices & garlic, omnomnom.
Step 6, mix the stuffings
No tricks here, just mix everything and add some cream.
Step 7, wrapping the thingie & to the oven it goes
Now this might be hard. Unless you are a pro-cook, like waki or me. First, put the stuffings to the other pastry, leave some room to the sides.
Now take the other one, do not remove it from the baking-paper, just lift it from the paper and place it on the top of the another one. Like this.
Now peel the paper off and joint the pastries together so that stuffings won't get off the ride.
Pour one or two egg-whites on the top, spread them around and make some holes with a fork. Then to the oven, 200-225C, ~25 minutes. Until it looks nice.
Will post results when getting it out of the oven & eating. Enjoy!
When it is done, omnomnom
Notice my awesome cooking-helper, mr. Napnap, the oven mitten.
