quake live help

when i started to play i used to play with the mainboard grafikcard but now im using a new one and now my game is full of laggs ever 0.5 seccs :/ seems to be pretty shit . never got this before

need help :)

I know this might be stupid, but when you have put your "new graphic card" in machine, you have changed vga/hdmi/dvi cable also right? If you did, did you install drivers? If you did, try to disable mainboard graphic card and delete its drivers.
Wipe drivers is program that does that easily.

Umm in my case, I have used old card and bought new 1gb 6790 sapphire. I had enormous fps lags, since old one was also ATI and after doing all stuff and tips and erasing old drivers,... that didn't really help me. Reinstalling windows did, since I really didn't bother to search for 5th tutorial - how to wipe something that doesn't exist anymore from older ones.
