just make sure you go to the bridges and parks, pretty much the nicest thing London has to offer in terms of landscape. In terms of pubs, clubs and stuff there are so, so many :D

type in 'Big Ben' and 'Buckingham Palace' those two places most people will know if you actually tell people where you went and they are quite close to together there is also Houses of Parliament right there as well by Big Ben.

takes you round a lot of the older areas and buildings etc.

i live in London but its too big to say exactly there is so much to do, 1000s of good pubs, lots of great big museums and 100s of events each day so just have a look at something like http://www.timeout.com/london/ close to before you come.
