rtcw problem, help meh please

Good night's
So I just Installed rtcw and I did everything that was saying on tutorial, I created a key with keygen and when I join the server iam always getting kicked .. "this server needs a key" something like that. What should I do?

Keygens are all well and good 'NOT' but........ Eventually such 'generated keys' WILL be duplicated and will be found as keys that have been used by busted cheaters in the past so = banned. A lot depends on what server you tried to join and if that particular server still has a ban list in place. RtCW is not that expensive to purchase ;)

go ingame, verify your key ingame.
exit game, set rtcwkey file to read only
