Lately, I've been playing a kiddy MMO called Spiral Knights. It's fairly casual but there's quite a few "serious" players as well (kids blowing hundreds of dollars/euros/yen on this game to make their character look more aesthetically pleasing).
After playing a few games of Lock Down, which is something similar to capture the base, I was bored, so I decided to make an alt account (one you occasionally use for crafting items/etc). Anyway, I had been reminiscing of the days of playing ET so I decided to name my alt character after a "famous/well-known" ET player.
I already knew some names were "generic" (not ET-specific) enough to probably already have been taken, but I checked anyway.
Night/Naito - Taken
Reload/Anderson - Taken
Maus - Taken
Tosspot - Taken
Mystic - Taken
But then I was curious about some names that were more specific (maybe) to ET, and I was sort of surprised by the results.
Butchji - Taken
Winghaven - Taken
Ensam - Taken
Ferus - Taken
Rollstone - Taken
Tekoa - Taken (HUEHUEHUEHUEHUE)
And then I just decided to input some names from my CF friends list.
Lefrancis - Taken, but Francistroll - Name Available!
Gungy - Taken, but Gungylicious - Name Available!
Msh100 - Can't use numbers in name, fail.
Perfo - Taken, Perforator - Also taken
Noodle - Taken, Noedel - Name Available!
Wsk - Sorry, Knight names must be at least 4 letters long.
I don't know if it's someone from Crossfire trolling up those nicknames but I had to settle for Prac-Hard-Gopro...
Still have one alt slot for random naming...
