MySpace used around 2008 to be on it s peak as a social network. I mean it was full of teenagers anxious to talk to each other. Me, personnally I m tottaly against social online networks. I think this kind of comunication is to be blamed on the Internet birth, the mass media invasion in people life, people live in big cities , spread around thousand of miles away from each other, without a social and cultural common mentality , with an individual exacerbated behaviour , isolated, alienated and stressed by the life of the big metropolitan cities , this people needs to have something to surrogate the lost qualities of ancient life so they consume mass culture, and social networs are one of the most important aspects of today internet mass culture.
But today Myspace for some reasons, irrelevant to talk about it in this topic, lost popularity in favor of Facebook and Twitter. The last 2 came with some new shit to attract teenagers and it worked. But that doesn t mean that s better for our society. Is not. Same reasons I already mentioned earlier. So, I wanna start a project , which as crazy as might look , it s not impossible
I m calling this project CrossTravel.
What CrossTravel means:
-we start organising trips to each other
-no hotels or other form of payed place
-the guests will be hosted in our own house, so that means if someone comes to me, he will live in my house, sleep in my house and eat in my house.
-no money he will have to pay to me for the shelter or the food.
-everything that covers shelter and food is supported by the host, unless of course the guest insist in financial contributions.
-this is an excelent way to destroy the barriers between us, to meet each other in other occasions that LAN s, to learn more about each other life, culture , countries , etc.

If it would be a good idea then your domain would be already bought after that annoucment. Anyway it would be just a couchserfing 2. Not gonna happen
Nice mentality, i just think socials network sites are the things to talk fast or share peoples lifes while being busy with your own in the mean time. Personally i dont really use it, i just check out what other people post.
Which most of the times is just bs, like going to work, going to sleep. Not really worth it imo, so i dont post about my boring life.
