Free Mmorpg

Hi

Need a cool free mmorpg that I can waste some time on, preferably with some people that I know on it!

In before " cheap ass bitch buy a real one", I'm tired of WoW/Diablo 3.

Edit: or any extensive singleplayer, are there any good rts'es out there? ( the lotr series any good? )

Diablo3 is not MMO :P

there is a lord of the rings mmo f2p which is okayish ive heard.
there is dungeons and dragons.
there is runes of magic.
there is planetside2 which is the futuristic MMO version of battlefield.
but most importantly the knights of the old republic has gone free to play.

there are many more but i think those are the best out there.

amazing game. haven't played for year or so but used to be my favorite. stopped playing when the level cap still was 65, now I think I start it again!

Best free mmo from what I hear from people is Lotr online.

Also SWToR went f2p (you have some limitations you need to read about though), I played the beta and it was pretty good.

SWTOR is good until you get half way through the end game

Also the gearing system with PvP is terrible.

there an endgame in swtor ? :)

and if you play for free you wont have muhc of it anyways as you are limited for dungeons and raids and stuff

There's an obvious end game in SWTOR, it's just not that fantastic, but when compared to GW2 I guess it could come out ahead.

Also you can get limited access to these things without having to subscribe.

Not a fair comparison of the endgame status though considering SWOTOR has been released over a year ago and GW2 is about 2-3 months old.

And SWTOR is very much like WoW where GW2 is more innovating. So it's understandable that GW2 is struggling with endgame content because they don't want to copy WoW where as Bioware has no excuse.

I do hope they implement some more endgame content in GW2 which is different from the average mmorpg. The Fractals dungeon was a nice start imo.

Both games had a nice start, and I loved the new style GW2 brought to things, it's just with them treating the entire game as "end game" for their players, hitting 80 seemed somewhat pointless at times lol.

SWTOR really needs to improve on its endgame content though, GW2 have more than a solid foundation there to build upon, but I don't see where SWTOR can take things in the near future once their expansion comes out.

Guild Wars for MMORPG


Dark Souls for RPG, you will need a controller tho, the game just doesn't feel good otherwise.
