Ive heard that "The Shield" is "watch from start to finish" material.
I know that "The wire" is the best series ever when it comes to dense plots.
But for me the one and only best series of all times is "Top Gear", dont even remotely watch it for the cars... often I have it playing in the background (only audio, no video).

Arrow and Homeland are cool, not funny tho. Homeland is actually pretty good, exciting aswell. Arrow is not that good, but it's easy to watch and enjoyable.
