RTCW problem

I installed RTCW but then when I try to install patch 1.4 error message occurs.
"Setup could not locate a version of return to castle wolfenstein on your system"

What !?

Which rtcw have you installed, the rtcw pack (downloadable here on crossfire) or the original version?

"tried to patch 1.4" -> obviously not the pack

edit: download the pack here at tutorials and you should be fine :)

I didn't want to do that because of slow download :-/ But I guess that's the only option.

so you have Wolf-MP 1.0 version
That Msg its because your RTCW isnot installed in your Computer.

Try this installing 1.4 full to 1.41, 1.41b:
1) http://returntocastlewolfenstein.filefront.com/file/RTCW_Patch_14_Windows;7449
2) http://returntocastlewolfenstein.filefront.com/file/RTCW_Patch_141;8451
3) http://returntocastlewolfenstein.filefront.com/file/Return_to_Castle_Wolfenstein_141b_Patch_win32;62007
Wolf-MP 1.41b Final version

if this wont work try manual upgrade to wolf 1.4 final version made by me :)
extract in RTCW root directory

Then install OSP mod next to Main folder

and Finally join a War/Pub Server:

Thanks for your help, will try this :)

EDIT: "Invalid password" when I try to connect...the server i'm connecting to doesn't even require password :S
