Just thought about this idea... What do you think about a tournament for all teams that do not advance to playoffs stage in CB NationsCup? I mean some of these teams played only 2-3 games (though 1 or 2 of them were rape games because the opposite team was just too good) and that's it? They somehow prepared for this NationsCup by signingup to a cup, organizing a team, some pracs etc and now they will probably split up again and come back in one year for next edition.. With this consolation tournament they would be able to play few more games together as a team against other national teams. Cup formula might be either few groups, best teams advance to playoffs, double elimination etc OR double elimination playoffs, 3rd place in a group = seeded team vs 4th place.
Of course captains and teams stay the same.

The ones who are better advance to the next stage and the others should be grateful for the chance to play for their nation and just simply let it be when it didn't work out. Ends up similar like the EC qualifiers, the non qualified teams play in a lower division, the OC premier.
But we're talking about a cup which is not split in different divisions, we're talking about one whole cup without divisions that includes all the nations which are able to fill a 6 man lineup, a cup that should stand for equality for all teams, no matter where they are from, no matter who they are, no matter how strong they play.
Playing in a cup like this in the name of a country is a bit like spliting the world into rich and poor, 3rd world countries and all that shizzle. In this case good and bad, winners and loosers, although in my opinion everyone who plays fair and with respect towards the other countries is a winner!
It's not fun to put effort into contacting all inactive players and encourage them to come back and play something more for NationsCup and then just get rolled in 2-3 officials and "bye bye cheers, cya in 1 year".
Also about last paragraph, I could agree with that if I read it few years ago.
Also it doesn't need to be an _OFFICIAL CB NATIONS CUP CONSOLATION CUP_ , I could just do "random name" cup and invite all teams from 3rd & 4th places from NC group stage. It's all about fun, competition, it's also a challenge for these worse teams to finish the season on the best possible place, e.g. as 17th, 20th, 25th nation of this year.
