execing preset_normal.cfg

Morning fellow ET friends, I'm here again with another problem. For some reason, my ET likes to exec preset_normal.cfg after it execs my autoexec.cfg, making me have to exec my own config and do vid_restart every time I open ET. During my entire 8 years of playing this game, I've never had such problem. Why would this happen now?

What if you renamed the preset_normal.cfg? Maybe it automatically exec's that cfg because it has that name.
