i was under the impressing you wanted to host a 6on6 FUN cup, just for shits and giggles, i dont think any of these maps (except for PERHAPS snatch?) should belong in the current 6on6 map pool
and i definitely dont think adding a new map would increase activity.
It would however make the game a bit more fun to play again (given that opponents don't whine like fuck until we vote a different map, which is what would likely happen if you were to suggest a different map for a change)

sw_oasis, sw_battery, reactor and karsiah are all good choices imo. People actually do know these maps so nothing 'new', yet they can bring many excitements. :)

Ye, thats true, but i believe they have some potencial. Pirates was fun at public atleast. At wars i believe it might be a campy map. At the other side, the library creater was a guy from community / active so i guess it could be worked out!

yeah the community seemed to get behind library a lot more. never got to play pirates in a competitive match so have no idea how it plays out. Seemed that axis last spawn was well protected but maybe too many sneaky corridors/alley ways in the final phase.

fact about old maps:THEY ARE NOT PLAYED FOR A REASON. Every now and then someone tries to force old maps in cups and they are only played when forced+causing frurstrations with many people. They will surely not bring more activity, just cause frustration. Peoplse CHOOSE to play goldrush and supply, sometimes radar and adler, occasional bremen for decider.

creating new maps or bringing back old maps is always good... just cause you didn't play in the "old times" when ET was not minimized into supply/gold, these maps bring lots of fun, which, if they are forced to use, new ppl will realise either...frustrating.. what is frustrating? just cause you didn't play these maps as many times as you did with SD and gold, and therefore you are 'less skilled' on these other maps, it doesnt mean it's frustrating to everyone jeez...

I personally don't mind karsiah, love missile, enjoy occasional frostbite, just fuck off with braundorf. Was simply stating that forcing new/old maps that aren't played is not giving activity. No point in talking about how it worked in the past cuz the past is in the past and it's just not doing any good nowadays and it didn't since at least 2010. Please remind me how pirates or erdenberg gave us more activity.

you only need to add ONE "new" map to a mappool. ET has its main 5 maps; supply, goldrush, radar, bremen & adler. the 6th one can be juggled as much as you want but more just isn't neccessary. people are familiar with frost, karsiah, delivery and other such unpracticed maps and therefore those will give enough interesting(random?) matches if one is added to a tournament or two.

sw_fueldump_b3 should be there. Very good summer edition of old and good map.

karsiah, tc_base, dubrovnik, oasis

oasis still remains the best map in the game. Requires the most teamwork and generally has some of the most exciting play.

Railgun is a fun map, but can get extremely one sided, but with the removal of the mortar could be a bit different

I always enjoyed Venice, but it can be a bit long.

Dubrovnik could be an interesting map to play, but I feel its more suited to 5o5 then 6o6
