Friends, I'm sure many of you have been in a similar situation to myself. I have had a Razer Diamondback 3g for a good 5 years, and I feel it is reaching its death. MOUSE1 is getting a bit fucked up (sometimes doesn't work, sometimes cliks 3/4 times when i only want once), which is a real shame, because the rest of the mouse is still good.
HOWEVER, CF, your task is this: recommend me a good, affordable gaming mouse with which I can paly paly ET and other games. The price is everything - I am a poor student, so my budget would be around £25 (which probably translates to about ~30-35e). I wouldn't mind trying a mouse which fits into the palm better, rather than a fingertip one.
Those who find me the goods will be rewarded with CF loves. I don't want some high-end shark-killing mouse that can also do my laundry, I just need a fairly good, cheap, functional mouse.

e: I have a Razer Goliathus synthetic pad, if that influences anything

i prefer laser over optical so im going by personal preference, but yeah g400 if you want a cheap decent mouse
I hear ya on the swagga factor of having a g5, but I dunno, money really is tight, would prefer to go under £25 if possible, not over
