ICL 16, what's going on?

Why is this no longer stickied? I believe there was quite some interest in this lan and frankly don't really understand why it's no longer stickied, the more teams attending the better. I care more about that than the fragmovie database

the newspost with most of the information is gone.. the signup post isn't that visible in general.. and possibly.. what does that have to do with anything?!

why don't you just PM sebi to keep one topic (@ forums) updated? :P

no way will we have a new AND forum topic stickied for the next 3 months.

Because, as I mentioned earlier, the visibility of a stickied forum post is a lot lower than that of a stickied newspost.

The lan is in 2 months so that's alright.

that's true, how about a journal then (stickied)? when people have stickies @ news they don't bother writing any new newsposts, sometimes don't update them at all, most of the time it's ok when it's a signup post (e.g. OC/EC signup phase) but a LAN? I agree it needs visibility, but it wasn't being updated with the most key info. sadly the articles section is quite out of reach to most eyes because I remember urtier making a wonderful post for Adroits ETM. had every little thing you'd need to know and was on the left panel below main news, above interviews.

if a post like that is made then yeah, it'll stay stickied @ journals (most viewed area of the site) for the next two months.

sebi can post as many newsposts as he wants, it'll sure as hell get the LAN exposure. the single stickied newspost wasn't being updated for like 1-2 weeks before it was unstickied according to the logs and so (like every other ET LAN in the past) there will have to be numerous posts outlining important (NEW) info and _one_ sticky at either forums (or journals) containing everything combined. teams, location, hotels, airports/travel info etcetc.

It's okay, nothing really new happened, the head admin is lazy to send me the PC specs.. I'll keep a thread always if there is anything new, that will be stickied for 1-2 days (I hope). I promised Cupra to make an accomodation guide as well, I did not forgot to do it, just didn't have time yet to collect all the data :)
