Hello,
My headset broke down so I'm looking for a new one.
My knowledge about headsets and audio is close to none.
I'm looking for a new headset but I'm kinda blank on what to go so far.
Any tips or advice about headsets are welcome, I got about 70-80 euros to spend.

This made me alot more confident in my purchase.
Thanks.
So thats way over my budget unfortunately.
3 years is pretty descent imo also since it had a previous owner before me its even longer.
I had a pretty good experience with the 5H and so with steelseries overall.
And i saw some sites with a 2 year waranty which is pretty nice.
tho,70-80 for an gaming headset is more then enough, and as said here, you can get Siberia v2 or so,which is great as an gaming headset.
I'd suggest him to buy the one which comes in his favourite color :)
and other say i should avoid gaming labels like razer/steelseries etc.
I'm in doubt between the sennheiser pc320 and the siberia v2.
any last tips?
however, if you're like me and you actually care about sound quality more than the average person and you actually know what a bitrate on an mp3 is or if you download FLAC albums instead of whatever you find. then i suggest you to follow this advice and avoid the so called "gaming gear"
As long as the sound is good, the mic works good. and I can use it for longer then a year I'm happy.
And you're right in a previous comment. I do like the variable colors of the siberia one :)
Examples:
Siberia V2 has closed earcups, meaning if someone in the room talks to you, you won't hear them.
PC320 has open-acoustic earcups, meaning if someone in the room talks to you, you will hear them.
The Siberia V2 is better on paper, it has higher ranges on both Microphone and Speakers, but when you have it on your head or hold it in your hands it just feels abit cheap, as if they only cared about sound and not about comfort and build quality. When you hold it you might think it can break easily if you drop it. The PC320 might have lower ranges on Microphone and Speakers but has much better overall build quality, it feels well build. Feels sturdy and won't break instantly when you drop it.
Looks ofcourse simply come down to personal preferences, I don't like the alien like double wire over your head that Siberia has :D
