So my microsoft intelli eye explorer 3.0 is getting really worn out and starting to register weird clicks after spilling way to much on it and a bad use in general.
So i need a new mouse and i want to get the same one but there are no stores here in iceland that are selling them.
So i was looking on the interwebz for something that ships to iceland (not many do) and came across this

I know steelseries gave out sum amount of limited edition ms mouses but they were quite expensive, so do you think this is a fake or just a really good deal?

need a new mouse too :) i always had mx518 but they dont sell it anymore or smth :D which should i buy? / want the same eh :(

hmm they do sell them, I saw 2 in a tech store in a big mall in berlin (mx 518)

u should rather try to change whole mouse (i mean buy new one and get used to it..), because those are just shit copies

what do you mean shit copies? they are either fake or the real deal and the real ms is the best mouse ever created!

I know, used it till it got fucked up (left mb just flew away)..

My friend tried to buy some copy (like it wasnt exactly cheap from some chinese company), and it was like real crap - it broke pretty early..

I would rather buy new mouse from some local shop - so you can "claim" if it broke..

yeah, would ask for more photos or try to search on google for some info of the "shops" (or whoever sales it)

and what heaven said, Steelseries Xai or Zowie (they were doing copies of old Microsoft mice too i think + never seen someone saying something bad about the mouse..)

Just get Zowie AM, simple shape like the IE 3.0, optical and without any drivers.

I wouldn't buy XAI, i had it and used it with a cloth pad (roccat taito). First it seems like a nice mice and stuff, but at really fast movements the mouse just skips (i mean it doesnt move at all), noticed it in quake live first when i tried to rocketjump.

its same sensor used in many other mouses including mine and i have no problems with defrag or ca cpm -
but i guess that it has to be hard at vanilla physics @ ql when you're about to fly in one direction by 1 rocket only.

then find some comparisons and use common sense. its not that hard to find replacement for mouse really

steelseries has awkward sensors usually, the sensei / Xai both have 4% unremoveable acceleration.

the zowie AM is the perfect replacement for ur IME 3.0. If you are Claw grip go for the FK.

Well, G400 seems quite good and extremely cheap.

I guess it depends on how you use the mouse. How long did your last mouse survive? I have a G5 working since it got released... like 7+ years ago. Got a G400 since xmas and it's fine, but the cable is kinda weak comparing to G5, but then again i don't care since i got my cable stuck in a specific place...
