As far as your spoilers go, Spoilers, do not read if you haven't read the books or at the very least as far as A Dance with Dragons.Tyrion and Sansa DO marry, they just never consummated it properly. Joffrey dies DURING his wedding to poisoned wine, Tyrion gets accused of the murder by Cersei (where as it was an elaborate plot performed by Petyr Baelish and The Queen of Thorns), Tyrion was supposed be to trialed by his father and two more Lordly men of high status, he instead chose trial by combat after the Viper of Dorne has offered his services due to the Murder of his Sister to Aegon's days... The Viper loses the fight vs the Mountain, Jaime and Varys help Tyrion escape the dungeons (as opposed to being executed and/or offered to join the Wall), Tyrion murders both Shae (due to her having betrayed him in his first unfinished trial, she's claimed to have seen Tyrion poison the wine himself... not for sleeping around with Tywin.) and his father Tywin, the first by strangling her to death with the chain he had given her, the other with a crossbow shot in the guts.
Robb and Caitlyn do get slaughtered during the "Red Wedding" for having defied Walder Frey's pride, and well... Tywin pays better, Edmure Tully gets taken hostage by the Freys all the while little Arya takes an axe to the back of her head merely a few steps from joining the rest of her family at the wedding :(. Cait's fortunate enough to have had a short respawn though, she's pissed.
