Time for new headset/headphones

Good point, but for me as a musician they don't really have any worth regarding sound quality. :) There are the Beats Studios and the DJ version (which I don't know the name of), but they are really not suitable for any music production or mixing, because the bass is way too heavy and the frequencies are not balanced out well.
I use the AKG K 271 Mk II for mixing and recording, for when I'm going out, and need to listen through some mixes I got on my phone, I use the Sony MDR-V55. They are quite good for listening to music and got a frequency span of 5 Hz - 25 000 Hz which is very very good for 77€. You don't get that much quality for such a low price very often.

No hate to you, I just hope you got my point aswell. I hope you'll still have fun with your Beats for some time to come! ;)

"Downloaded from iTunes", "almost 70% of DJs", "i don't really care if you can get something..." -> that pretty much supports what I said, marketing driven consumerism at its best. You like them, good for you, at least you are happy with them, I am not going to argue about that. I didn't say they are absolutely terribad either, they certainly have their qualities that appeal to many ppl (regular consumers, that don't really dig into sound as long as they can catch their beat or favourite melody). But, I am living in audiophile world, where people care what they are hearing, and listen to vast variety of music. In my world, Beats are just overpriced unbalanced hype-driven "garbage". In my world, they are good for hearing music, not for listening to it.
All in all, as long as something fits you, it is obviously good thing for you. That being said, it doesn't mean that thing is generaly good. And just because I don't like them doesn't mean they cannot be good for someone, quite frankly, when someone goes from $5 apple buds to Beats by Dre, they will obviously like them. But going from $140 headphones to Beats Studio, for many ppl it's just huge disappointment.
