Jericho and Life, both just got 2 seasons but really enjoyable ( expect the endings :P )
I hope you read the books to any of those series first...!
I've been studying for my entrance exam for the past 2 months. That is quite enough reading for me :D

Watch the "elongated war movies" mini-series type of things.
namely:
Band of Brothers
Generation Kill
The Pacific
(in order of awesomness)

Also, I quite enjoyed the 2012(?) reimagination of "Sherlock".
Did Sherlock die that time when he jumped off the building when someone threaten to kill all of his loved ones and did serie actually end that time? Have just snapped couple of episodes on TV, but nothing in particular.

nah, you see him at his own funeral, hes very much alive

Recommend u watching Burn notice, for me one of the top series out there, started today with new and most likely last season, also Rome is a decent serie.

I have watched more ;)
Some series i watch/wachted http://hyperion-gaming.net/files/series.png ( out of date )

Next to that:
House of Cards
Vikings
Southland (underrated)
Strike Back (underrated)
Vikings sure is interesting but man the quality of actors on that is the worst ive ever seen

if you run out of real tv shows there is always anime, and they can be epic as fuck sometimes ;) haven't watched many anime series myself tho
