Samsung Galaxy S2
Sony Xperia J
Nokia Lumia 800
HTC 8S
Huawei Ascend W1.
It's running Windows Phone 8, which isn't nearly as big/popular as Android or iOS yet (although growing bigger everyday).
But WP8 is great for a budget smartphone. It's very light and runs smooth even on lower-end hardware.
Definitely smoother than an android phone within that price range.
My pros/cons for the Huawei Ascend W1:
+ Very smooth/snappy, no lag.
+ Fantastic battery (1950mAh) I've been using it now for around 2.5 days and it's still running.
+ Nice screen (IPS) for this price imo, viewing angles are good.
+ Front/Back Camera with flash (flashlight ftw).
+ Feels good in the hand, non-slippery surface.
+ The Windows Phone 8 interface is great, also putting music/videos on the phone is 100% drag & drop. No syncing bullshit.
- Phone only has 4gb internal storage with possible external storage with microSDHC up to 32gb. But apps cannot be stored on external memory. WP8 takes up around 2-2.5gb space, so only 1.5gb of storage for apps. This is not an issue for me personally since I do not download large apps such as games. But if you're planning on doing that, then this could be an issue.
- Camera quality could be better.
- App store isn't as large as on the iPhone/Android market. But I have everything I need, youtube, radio, streaming, banking etc.
I would definitely recommend you have a look at some of the Windows Phone 8 phones on the market if you don't want to spend more than €150. Nokia Lumia 520 might even be cheaper than 150€ where you live. It has a larger internal memory but without front-facing camera, flash and smaller battery. It has the same CPU as the Huawei Ascend W1 but with a slightly lower frequency, but that shouldn't make too much of a difference. Also with Nokia you get some of their exclusive apps.
If you want to get an android I would suggest spending slightly more or try to get one for that price second-hand.
i thought the same with the apps, everyone told me android + iphone have so much more wank wank, but windows phone has all I want and more and overall is just a way cooler user user interface and the phones look way better.
and yes!!! none of the syncing shit, just drag and drop pictures videos music anything from your pc i love it!
