If all you want to do is get good at a game before it goes public, then I wouldn't bother.

The alpha right now is about shaping the game to what you want. A lot of bugs and changes happen each week.

I guess its okaish as Arena PvP but the MMO component is so underdeveloped it might as well be regarded as non-existent.
The beta was the biggest letdown in a while
