Yes, there are still at least 500+ players actively playing ETPro. No, it is not a cheatfest, despite what some others may say. There are hardly any players cheating in official matches, just a lot of paranoia.
TZAC is still being used, but it is no longer getting updated since chaplja abandoned the project. However, accounts are still being banned somewhat regularly. It's not perfect, but it's better than PB and certainly better than no anticheat.
Team Decerto and rockit.ET will play in the ET EC XXVII Grand Final this Sunday, so I guess you could say they are the best teams at the moment.
I don't play on public servers, but most players seem to prefer NBS (5.9.112.247:27960) and BiO (213.108.31.35:27960).
