i7 is expensive...what should i do ?
not even my vga is that crap
Gigabyte GA-B85M-HD3 ( or pick another board with H81/B85 chipset )
MSI R7850-2GD5/OC ( or another brand 7850 )
Fractal Design Core 1000 USB 2.0 ( or Cooler Master N300 KKN1, random case 30 euro )
Corsair Vengeance LP CML8GX3M2A1600C9 8GB ( or another known brand that has low power memory 1,3v )
Corsair Builder CX430 Bronze ( alternative Seasonic M12II 520W/XFX 550W the corsair is cheaper tho )
WD/Seagate 1TB HDD 50~65 euro
~ 530
You can also go Ivy bridge and get 3550P and B75 chipset with the other components.
If you want to go AMD it's also fine just get AMD FX-8320 Black Edition and ASRock 970 Pro3 R2.0 with the other components. But the Intel is a better choice because of power usage. But for the AMD board you need to use the coolermaster case because it's ATX.
Cheaper option: ( still a lot faster than the pc you suggested, this option is faster in multi threaded applications )
AMD Athlon II X4 750K Boxed
ASRock FM2A75 PRO4-M ( or another A75 A85X chipset )
and the other components i listed before.
This will save you about 80euro.
Another cheap option: ( faster in single threaded applications than the other cheap option )
Intel Pentium G3220 Boxed
with the motherboard types listed above.
Again this will save you about 80 euro.
Personally i would buy the cheap AMD because you van overclock it unlike the cheaper Intel ones, and i enjoy overclocking. I would also buy a Crucial M500 or Samsung 840 EVO 128GB SSD because i can't life without it anymore.
If you don't overclock get one of the Intel options, and think about buying an ssd.
AMD FX Series FX-6300 6x 3.50GHz So.AM3+ BOX
ASRock 980DE3/U3S3 AMD 760G So.AM3+ Dual Channel DDR3 ATX Retail
1024MB HIS Radeon HD 7770 IceQ X Turbo Aktiv PCIe 3.0
CoolerMaster Hyper T4 Tower
8GB G.Skill NT Series DDR3-1333 DIMM CL9 Dual Kit
CoolerMaster N400 Midi Tower
530 Watt Thermaltake Hamburg Non-Modular 80+
(+ the harddrive and cd-drive of my old pc)
The setup should be good enough, since i only play et :D
My question is if i could still save some money without losing too much performance.
Thx in advance :)
It's hard to comment if i don't know how much you want to spend.
I would swap the PSU and buy a Seasonic/XFX you can also buy a 450W.
Also i would buy a motherboard with a newer chipset 970, the 760g is really old.
If you want to save some money, look at the AMD or Intel cheap option above, that should save you about 50euro. And if you don't overclock there is no reason to get an aftermarket cooler, unless you are a silent freak.
8GB G.Skill NT Series DDR3-1333 DIMM CL9 Dual Kit - 55,85€
530 Watt Thermaltake Hamburg Non-Modular 80+ - 37,25€ (did only find 1 seasonic 450W, but was 2x this prize)
1024MB HIS Radeon HD 7770 IceQ X Turbo Aktiv PCIe 3.0 - 99,90€
AMD Athlon II X4 750K 4x 3.40GHz So.FM2 BOX - 64,56€
ASRock 970 Pro3 Rev 2.0 AMD 970 So.AM3+ Dual - 66,74€
CoolerMaster N400 Midi Tower - 41,72€
= 366,02€ + postage
changed the motherboard and the processor to the ones you mentioned and left the tower cooler out. Are all those components compatible with each other or do i have to change more now that i changed the board? Ah and the gpu is already overclocked "by nature" :D, do i need the tower cooler then, or not?
ASRock FM2A75 PRO4-M ( or another board with A75 A85X chipset )
You don't need the tower cooler.
Gonna buy this next week and hope it works :D
