I heard this new rule will boost highly active ladders, 2on2 (activity 22), 3on3 (activity 188) and 6on6 (activity 35) a lot!

This is a great day for ET, see you in the battlefield in upcoming HIGHLY ACTIVE OpenCuP FALL.
was just about to play offi with sqzz and mystic but cb wont allow us gg :\
You don't have to play with UAC. You simply have to register your UAC User ID to your CB account. It takes less than 30 seconds.

EDIT: http://www.crossfire.nu/journals/150666/uac-clanbase-et
We don't have UAC at all :S shouldn't be forced. nobody will play oc/ec If its forced GG
inb4 people have to play, forced and shit and only way to identify players
Parent
but its the only way to identify players, i mean how can we play without it? Its completly out of question to just simply check IP.
Parent
Only a few teams would actually use UAC if it wasn't forced. :)
Parent
What about making it optional for both teams for OC but only if both teams agree?

Means if 1 team disagrees to not use it it would still be forced, but at least there is a choiche if they know the other team well (Hey this is not a big game anyway)
Parent
What's the point of that? Why would teams be fine with playing with UAC vs Team A but not with playing with UAC vs Team B?

If a team doesn't want to play with an anticheat, they shouldn't be playing in EC/OC.
Parent
Trust issue?

As robert said, there are some teams you just know all the players from and know the chance of them cheating is very slim. It would be at your own risk in that case but at least it's an option kept open.

I'm pretty sure some teams do want to play with the UAC, but I also know plenty of teams who are fine with taking the risk and go on without it if the other team agrees.
Parent
It's not just about preventing cheating - it is a way of identifying your opponent. You may think you know who you are playing, but it could be anyone if there's no way of confirming their identity. It may sound silly and paranoid, but it is true.

I understand what you're saying though and will think about it, I guess.
Parent
actually I kinda like this idea. was pretty much the same around the nopb era, if one team decided they wanted pb then it would be activated during the offi. d:
