Hey,
Anyone playing GTA 4 IV 4 IV 4 IV on pc (Windows 8) ?
I bought this crap years ago but back then it wouldn't run on my old computer. Now that I have a brand new one, I'm obviously willing to run it.
Problem is, this crap won't start.
So here is what happens: I launch the roCKstAr soCIal kluB, log in and then press the PLAY button. Then a small box appears (looks like a mini console) and fades away in a second.
Fking shit. I've already tried to run both rockstar klub & gta IV launcher under compatibility mode (both vista and xp) but it didn't solve anything.
I googled and read many things about having to install 35642455656 things in order to bypass I-didn't-get-what. I goddamn suck.
Has anyone encountered this problem here? Have you managed to run it under Windows 8 or did you throw this crap away?

In order to run the Windows Live ID Sign-in Assistant, I have to run the Game for Windows setup or something. And it doens't seem to work.
This is driving me completely mad.
Fact is, the game already asked me for my key number soooooooooo..
