Cannot into 120hz?

Hello!

I got a hp p1120 crt 21" monitor, it's pretty old, but I love it and does it's work perfectly fine. This monitor can pull out 120hz @ 1024x768 so that's the resolution I use to play games at.
I'm using a VGA to DVI-D to get the monitor connected to my VGA
Eversince I got my MSI 260GTX I can't set the monitor refreshrate over 85hz.
I tried refreshing the drivers and stuff, but didn't work.

Any ideas?
thanks.

Try the other DVI port on your GPU.
Are you sure you have a dual link dvi-cable? It's the same one you used earlier?
It's not the same one, it's a different cable, but it's a dual link dvi-cable. I had the replace the former one, due I sold it with my previous VGA.

try using powerstrip to force it

problem?
Did you install the drivers for your monitor? I guess it's on plug and play mode now.
customize your res/hz in the nvidia control panel image: 26038e1
