Yep that's Ulcerate technical death metal school for ya. Cold and calculated, no emotion whatsoever, different compared to all the other technical death metal outfits :) I wouldn't call Saint Merat predictable exactly, he just fills up the absolutely proper sounds he needs to fill.
If you like Longstreth you probably like Cryptopsy's Mounier too, he's one of my favorites :p. But then again there are so many huge death metal drummers out there, it's like the whole genre has a monopoly on them.
