Tanzania

I have enrolled in a course at my university which will take me to the lovely country of Tanzania for one month.
I am leaving the 7th of January, and will be returning the 6th of February (If everything goes according to plan).

Any of you crossfireres has been here? (I know, its hard to believe that some of us are leaving their cave so we can enjoy that IRL shit) You've got any tips on what to bring (prolly know most things, but hey, can ask!) and what to do, or what NOT to do.

I will arrive at Dar Es salaam, will travel to morogo and "Sokoine university of agriculture" (We are students there for 1 month, while traveling around alot).

I've been there 8 years ago :D meat non stop thats for sure :D go see the tribes thats fun... eventhough their houses made from cow shit :x
You can't eat vegetables that are not cooked (they have to be warm still) and the meat has to be thoroughly cooked. And fruits, you have to peel yourself, else its a no go. So much to think of :c

my father has been there like 5 times this year and another 8 times last year, same with kenya and uganda

hope u chose a good airline, since his baggage got lost for about a week twice, with different airlines xD

hf there
We are flying with QATAR airlines. And losing the luggage wouldn't be that horrible.
Parent
its more about being annoying, i mean they pay for it, eventhough u gotta force them to do it, well since then turkish airlines is not an option anymore, cant remember the other airline

One of my students (ceo) bought some land over there in a little village after falling in love with the country too...and his collegue moved permanently to tanzania as well, near mount kilimanjaro... Married to a local wifey :D and the pics they showed me are nice...few or no tourists at all over there in that village, some nomads only. Flamingos all over the place, great landscapes, some places are only visitable with a chopper tho... Rly suggest u to go around with some locals since they know the best, dont forget to take some pics of the awesome salty waters (blood red view)
I have gotten a camera as a x-mas gift, so pictures there will be! And a friend has been there before, he says it will be awesome aswell =) (He's joining us again)

This is the best "need some fun things to do in country X, have you been there" journal I've seen in a while.
Not hard when there are few journals! :D
