HD 650s are suppose to be fantastic, not sure if I could justify the cost. HD 598 may be my next pair.
That's why I went for 600s years ago.

598's are discounted here, from 240€ to 200€, gonna look into those.

650's are 350€, too expensive

Thanks

stupid that it has a 6.3mm jack standard though. Will need an adapter with it :/
Parent
It should have one in the box.
Parent
tested 598's at the store, they leak a lot of sound. Not ideal for travelling by public transport
Parent
Aye they are open-backed headphones. I have only ever used open headphones, as I find full size headphones to be a bitch to take around on public transit. Open headphones are considered to have better sound quality, but I wouldn't know first hand.
Parent
thanks for the tip though. Might go for the momentums since they are closed

Audio Technica ATH-M50
anything around that price range from Sennheiser, AKG or Audio Technica is great. Just look for one that fits your needs/preferences best(open/closed, heavier bass/acoustic, looks/buildquality etc)
fact is, I have a very wide range of music taste. I got playlists from hardstyle to house, trance, rock, pop..

So I guess clarity and bass should be balanced. Only had some experience with bose and dre's (my cousin's) of the same price range (250-300), bose was very clear but shit bass, dre was a bit too average

i have Beyerdyanmic Custom One Pro and they're great. Made in Germany, great sound, adjustable bass level, they have low impedance so you can use them even with cheap mp3 player. Also you can go for Audio Technica ATH-M50.
do they leak any sound?
Parent
hard to say becouse i can't comapre it. little bit for sure.
