3on3 WC Update #2

Hi everybody,

With this journal I'd like to inform you on some important updates regarding the 3on3 World Cup.

CGAC
We can until now not definitely confirm the CGAC will be used in the tournament. However, CG staff is doing everything they can to make this cup work. I've had talks with Jonn and badkip regarding the hosting of an event like this on their website and using the AntiCheat.

They seem very happy that we are willing to host this World Cup using their organisation.

We have created a league page on their website, now we only need to enable the right settings so we can make this cup work.

I hope I can tell you more about this on sunday.

Group Qualifiers
We have noticed that more than 4 teams from several nations are interested in participating in this cup. We would like to give everybody a fair chance of competing, that is why I have thought of the following:
- Countries with =<4 teams: Round Robin. This means that every team from a nation has to compete once against all the other teams. The team with most points will advance to the playoffs.
- Countries with >4teams: Playoff with double elimination. This means that for countries that have more than 4 teams signed up, I will create a One Day Cup. This ODC will make use of seedings. Any team that loses twice will be eliminated from the cup. The winner will advance to round 2 of the World Cup.

- 29 teams have signed up
- 15 different nationalities
All this within 3 days!
