New monitor

Hi cf friends,

I'm gonna buy a new monitor. I want one with atleast 120hz. I've also read abit about lightboost and that's what I also want since that's good right?

Budget: +-350EUR
Options??
- Asus VG248QE
- BenQ XL2420T
- BenQ XL2411T

The Asus has much better Contract 80.000.000:1 compared to 12.000.000:1 on the 2 BenQ monitors. I like watching movies on my monitor so that's quite important then right? My current monitor only has 50.000:1 so it's gonna be a crazy improvent anyway. All other specificiation are kinda the same.. So I think I should go fot he Asus one?!

These are the best monitors for gaming in my price range right?
Or does someone have another suggestion?

I know that some in here have one of these BenQ monitors.. Why did you take that one and not the Asus one?!

i have the asus vg248qe and i like it.
i have lightboost on and the Picture is incredible fluid like butter.

i bought the asus Monitor for 290€. buy it! :P

i had a Samsung syncmaster 60hz, too.

u cant compare it. when i set my Monitor to 60hz again, the game Looks so crappy and laggy.

how big is the difference when you play with or without lightboost? I assume you always use 120hz with 125fps?

i Play 120hz with lightboost ON.
i changed to 144hz without lightboost and it sucks so bad again lol
for me ist a big difference. its like u Play on an old crt! no Motion blurr. u can track enemys 100 percent and react to them a lot faster.
even with 144hz without lightboost u see a lot Motion blurr. not as much as with 60hz, but still...

EDIT: 120hz (lightboost ON) 125 fps

ok cool. I suppose that when you play with 120hz & lightboost on, then it has no use to put com_maxfps on a game higher than 125fps right?

depends what u play.. i only play rtcw and the fps are limited to 125 :D but if i would play an other game i would turn the fps higher, if my computer can handle it. no disadvantage to play with more fps than 125 i think

The Asus 144hz and BenQ 144hz are the same panels, go for whichever one's cheaper (normally the asus is). You'll want to find and download ICC profiles for both, their out of the box colors are terrible.
