own3d.tv comeback?

It seems like own3d.tv is making a comeback.

It's been just over a year since that decision was made and those involved with the company have kept themselves relatively quiet, but it now looks to be nearing a return if their website is anything to go by. A glance at the own3d.tv web page shows that they are on the lookout for beta-testers ahead of a re-launch, the details of which have yet to be unveiled.

It's unknown who, if any, of the management team remains part of the new project, but regardless of their involvement the news is likely to be met with some concern, given the way in which the company came to a close the first time around.

Plus there is some alternatives already. I don't see why someone would choose Own3d over Twitch.. or Azubu..

Because both, twitch and azubu are awful? Own3d was by far the better and more stable service, they just had a habit of scamming its partners.

I mean at the current state. Back then, Twitch was taking over... and then the own3d scandal came. What would make them believe on Own3d now? I don't really like Twitch, but it works.

Dobut its even good idea to get it back, most of teams/players have new contracts with Twitch, not to mention, twitch pretty much took over entire streaming base, with biggest comp's being streamed there and as long as players tend to get such high viewer peak, dobut it will be profitable for them to switch back to owned.

Twitch.tv needs competition, ever since own3d.tv went down twitch has pretty much only gone downhill

Have to agree on that, cant even recon how many times i had problems with streams buffering, regardless of having decent net, don't think Azubu's ready for going against twitch, but would be nice to see them improving some quality in near future, just for the sake of players watching there.
