Hello crossies,
since I'm travelling to Malta in the end of April, I was wondering was anyone there yet? Or is anyone from there to give some hints or to drink some bears?:) If anyone is there from 25.4 to 30.4 let me know!:)

If you want to drink some bears and have a sick nightlife partying and stuff like that go to "Paceville", there are like 20 clubs you can go to with cheap alcohol. (Trays are like 6€ for 12 shots, beer is like ~3€).

If you want to drink some beer in a chillaxing place you can go to "Bugibba" or "Sliema", both of them are next to the sea and are relaxing.

Bugibba and Sliema also have many good restaurants you can go to, prices vary from one to another, but if we had to take the 'best' restaurants a plate of Pasta would be around 6-9€ depending on what type you get obviously (maincourse), Pizza is almost the same, Steak is like 15€ etc

Also you can go to the capital city "Valletta" at the 'Waterfront', basically all the below are restaurants.

The cheapest I found in Helsinki was 5.50 I guess and even for that I had to promise Id send a text message somewhere So that I would join some membership program. :D:D

oh, here in PL you can hardly find 33 cl beers:P most of them are 0,5 plus some of the brands produce 0,66 aswell :P (in pubs you can also order a 1,0 L)

I'm still in uni so drink in the student bar, which is £2.50 there. About the same price as your typical pint in manchester :(

when I went to Holland, Germany, UK, Greece beer was almost 4.50-5€ everywhere for a pint :[

My dad owns a flat in Sliema, but i've stayed in Sliema ad a couple of hotels in the times that i've been to Malta.

As has already been said, Paceville is the main party district, Sliema is pretty busy too. However, if you want a 'quiet' drink in a beautiful area then St Julians (I think) is beautiful with some nice restaraunts and a few bars.

The chicks are hot in Malta, but they're all eastern european. Because so many speak english fluently in Malta (literally everyone), then eastern european students who want to learn english go to Malta as it is easier to get a visa there than for the UK.

In what hotel did you stay? i'm staying at the Bay View hotel, does it ring a bell for you?
