Dota 2 SLTV finals ended on 20th and it was the best starladder lan final ever, regardless of the political situation. Two teams from China, 1 team from USA, 1 from South Korea attended. They all returned home safe and unharmed. Speaking of swedes, fnatic's countrymen Alliance were also there and I think till now are enjoying their stay in Kiev. So, there is really nothing to fear.

I don't see the problem tbh - when 'riots' kicked off in the UK I think the same shit would have happened if there was a LAN planned and anyone in the UK knows it really wasn't _that_ big a deal.

Ukraine on the other hand have the Russian army on their doorstep with numerous public 'warnings' about responses to attacks or threats on Russian interests.

Fnatic are one of the biggest orgs in the world, they probably have a 'no risk' policy in contracts and could well have been leaned on by their sponsors as going to the event effectively supports the situation or at least undermines its seriousness.

surely I can, but its logical parents will say no for their loved ones if they would like to go in a place where people are shooting each other or is a violent place in any way. It just sounds wrong here, didnt really read everything but it isnt mentioned players gave opinion if they wanna go or not :D
