Mouse suggestions/help

Hello,
you lovely bunch of players!

So recently my SteelSeries sensei decided to quit, so it stopped working or rather the sensor/system in the mouse is completely fucked up, so I had to play with Old Microsoft IntelliMouse for a week or so! But because it's 10+ years old, the buttons are kinda used and there isn't any pressure while pressing them and some other things, I'd like to give a try to some new mouse.

Since I had SS Sensei until now, and it's laser mouse, I must say it was pretty shit, I don't know if it was because of the mousepad (45cm x 42cm A4tech x7, the new one), but the way it was sometimes "moving", it was horrible and extremely innaccurate either in games or in PhotoShop or any other program...

Hence I'd love to get a Optical mouse and if I'd be able to, also get Puretrak talent, but I have no idea what optical mouse is good, or rather the best.

I had in my mind those Zowie mice, but I'm not sure if there's any difference between them, or what mouse got the best sensor?

TL:DR
Need a new mouse, OPTICAL only, thought about something from Zowie or SS Rival.
Anyone has any of them? How does it feel in games? ET/QL/CSGO/L4D2/TF2 etc etc

Thanks a lot for any advice, help... :)

Yeah, I realized it was the EC2 that's so tiny. My bad. :P

What mice did you have before? Any chance you had Sensei/IntelliMouse 3.0 ? :D

I have Sensei now and it's just really small for my hand, I get this shit into my muscles in my hand really often nowadays..

Dont care about price tbf :P
Since all the zowie mice are below €80 there

roccat kone pure optical if u dont care about prize. but 400/800 dpi only i would say.
Parent
Dont want Roccat, feels way too cheap for my liking (the plastic body), would rather get SS Rival then

u should eat grass since ur a massive faggot.
i have sensei raw and its good
you should consider the option with laser sensor, I can suggest razer DA
Just had laser sensor, it was shit for me. Want to give a try to optical one now :P
Parent
Not really, anyone who ever played on a serious level said that optical mice were always better for him, I just want to give it a try because the Sensei is pain in the ass, can't even use proper high sens with it.
Parent
serious level in ET? didnt and doesnt exist
Parent
even lot of people used DA, in compare with mice like cooperhead which had old kind of sensor is saying that the optical mouses are always better than laser cruel hoax
Parent
Who talks about ET?
Parent
who talks about serious level :D ? serious level is that u getting paid for playing games, u know anyone?

It's not a step back actually. Back in a days, laser sensors were way too inconsistent, especially on light surfaces (or surfaces combining both dark and light patterns) and having noticeable acceleration (which is non-existent in optical sensors), thus earning reputation for not being the best choice for fps games. I am pretty sure manufacturers developed very capable laser sensors that are decent for fps games, but to say the truth - I don't think they surpassed optical ones. Plus optical sensors usually have lower lift-off area (how much you need to lift the mouse until it stops moving the cursor).

g400s best mouse i ever played with
zowie AM/EC mice, best on the market by a mile.

But as long as you stay away from Logitech or Steelseries you should be fine
Logitech G400 is perfect if you like the size (I prefer it to my newer G400s). I also used Steelseries Ikari (optical) for 2 years and apart from infamous dbl-click issue, it was very very solid performer. G400 is by far the best mouse I had used up to date (however, I never tried any Zowie mouse).
Parent
Ive had G400/Xai/Ikari(optical aswell) and then I got my Zowie AM, and I know I'm probably never using something else again :p but yea if you prefer the 'mx518' shape with the high back than G400/s might be the way to go for you.
Parent
its not worth to change from G400 to G400s, is it?
Parent
from my experience - it's not worth at all, it's actually a downgrade (from my experience and comparing them head-to-head).
Parent
Idd ikari is rly good, too bad for the double click stuff. I kept getting full cause my mouse3 clicked 5 times and kicked me for excess flood :d
Parent
Krait 4G same sensor like da 2013 or g400/fk 2014,ec 1/2,am/ or whatever
try to grab some mouse in store and find your best fitting shape.
