We need to have such thing, never heard any new from that..
Is that an impossible thing to happen? Just curious because it would bring much more activity on this game we are trying to revive for that long.
Discuss.

You'll just have most of the players using new CG accounts to hide their identities, even if they already have an account. And what about public players who have never heard of CG or don't browse CF/GTV? Should they be kicked or banned from the server then? How do you expect to prevent CG banned players from playing? Also, what if 2+ players are using the same nickname in-game? Like I said, it "works" but is difficult to properly enforce.
You can cancel challenges yourself before they are accepted, but once the date/time is set then only an admin can cancel the match. That would sort of work, I guess, but you are assuming that all players in the war are already registered on CG and already in a team with each other. It would be quite a hassle when mercing / playing with mercs. I doubt that many players would be willing to go through the trouble just to play an IRC war. There's also really no way of confirming the identity of your opponents with certainty.
Eventhough I like the idea of having this available in public and IRC wars I don't really see this coming anytime soon.
Yeah, it probably seems like "not much of a hassle" to you, but how do you think CG feels about it? It's a bit weird to expect a league to spend their own time, money, and effort on making sure that the remaining ETPro public players - many of whom don't play competitively and have never even heard of CG - have an AC to use.
Your "idea" is no different from asking ESL if we could use Wire on public servers and in IRC wars. CGAC is designed to be used in official matches - CG official matches, specifically. There are already many ways to prevent cheating on public servers, while CGAC is currently the only reliable way to prevent cheating in competition.
Tired of playing versus cheaters on public servers?
- Play only on servers with some sort of anticheat protection and/or active admins.
- Don't play on public servers.
Tired of playing versus cheaters in IRC wars?
- Play only on your own server versus players you know.
- Play offis instead.
Also I don't care if I play versus cheaters or not and certainly not in public. I'm low and since lately my skill has only been dropping, I will enjoy this game wether I play versus a cheater or not.
Back to my "ideas", they were indeed based on the assumption that CGAC has public version for other games. If that was so, then it would indeed "not have been much of a hassle" to change it to ET.
it would gimme some challenge atleast
You are still so mad, that's sad. :(
