whats ET like?

Dear crossfireres,

whats ET like nowadays? NetherlandsDizor Netherlandsrocky and me are considering a comback but we would like to know what we're dealing with. I saw that there is some kinda cup/nations cup going on, will ET still be active once it's over, or even so is it even active atm?

ps. does anyone got a link with a lot of configs? I remember some guy from gamestv had a hyperlink once (Germanyarti?)

It's still alive, with a few hundred active players and several cups running at the moment. ClanBase and ESL are no longer around, but CyberGamer EU now supports ET with cups and ladders and an anticheat called CGAC.

Activity will most likely drop once summer is here and the FIFA World Cup starts, but that is rather unavoidable I guess. I'm sure there will still be some one-day cups and such - we might even do something at CG for the summer season.

thanks for the info. If we would go on irc at a wednesday (for example) would we be able to find a 3v3 etc?

Daarom dat mijn WD nu belachelijk goed is. Stats zien er zo slecht uit. Maar solo, kan ik gerust t5 aan, vrij snel en zonder te sterven.

WD's hebben dat vaak ;D Mijn monk kan ook T5 doen, maar kan gewoon geen betere items vinden. Dus heb beetje DH gespeeld, maar ik vind het te saai momenteel, dus ik wacht op patch 2.1.0

well Domi's comment is untrue. :P as kresti said, you'll play the same faces usually because you WANT to play against people you recognise (instead of random irc users searching skilled wars).

Haven't really met anyone "new" or "known" the last 2-months of playing. Always the same people, and you really can't be picky with who you play during IRC wars. And now since the most "skilled" 3on3 players got their asses banned its wholelotta boring with the whining little people out there now.

well idk.. D: i don't mind playing against the same skilled 5-6 opponents because they're all people i enjoy facing.

wise guys/team pl mix
wings/team sweden mix

these are the most common for me in recent weeks/months, but i still faced many others than them. D:

Wow, those sound like atleast some challenge to play against. So far I've only had some Q_Qing dutchy's with tears flowing from minute #2 and polaks with their bots on max (just like base n co)

CS:GO is very different than ET (duh) and it takes time to adjust but if you got some crew to play with it can be quite enjoyable
