Its the same pity I face myself everytime, what graphic card is really necessary and good enough to be able to play newest games on its highest settings, yet friendly enough to your portmonaie :) Im simply overstrained with all the specifications and cards there are.
i plan to buy a whole system of around 700€ so the card should suit 8gb RAM and a quad core processor
the first question is always, how much memory is necessary. I often read 1GB cards can be far better than with 2GB, it depends on its pulsing.
So what can you, dear crossfire care companions, suggest me to make use of, play games like Watch Dogs on highest settings (peeps say minimum 3GB Memory) there are and, at once, be gentle to my portmonaie?

you deserve the best
194€ Sapphire Radeon R9 280 OC Dual-X with Boost 3GB GDDR5 2xDVI/HDMI/DP Lite Retail
254€ Sapphire Radeon R9 280X OC Dual-X 3GB GDDR5 2xDVI/HDMI/DP - Retail
where is the actual difference apart from lite in its name? will you notice it? does it make the card much worse?
R9 280X = HD7970
Not that much difference if you clock the R9 280 a bit higher you won't notice it.
If you play on full hd, it doesn't matter.
Else buy HD7950/280 HD7970/280X.
I have 280X second hands for 150.
