Need help for headset problem

Hello,
One of my friend bought the steelseries siberia v2 headset. He received it few days ago but there is a problem, he can't hear from one ear (The right ear is louder that the other).
When he plugs it behind his pc it works fine but it's only stereo and kinda annoying for FPS to know the ennemies positions. When he plugs it on the front of it, he got the problem
Things I told him to try:
Plugging it on another pc to check if its about the headset> worked
the volume equalizer in panel control > didn't work
Any idea? :)

I hear people coming from the left at the right ear on ET if I play in stereo come on man :xd
